
One of the scariest things each one of us has to face at some point or another, is the question of. “What is my purpose”, Why am I here”. This really is a powerful question to be asking and is the best thing that could ever happen, because it really means you have come to a point in your life where you have realised that there is so much more than what you are currently doing.
You really have woken up from the dream that we call life and are approaching what I call, starting to live. Everywhere we go we see people going about life walking breathing and going through the motions of life, but not truly living.
The sad reality is that this state of unawareness was forced onto us throughout our lives. It started in childhood with the adults around us that unintentionally programmed a set of rules into our minds through constant repetition. We were programmed with a set of rules of how we should behave in society. We learned what is acceptable behaviour and what was not acceptable. We were taught what to believe and what not to believe. We were taught what is good and what is bad, what is beautiful and what is ugly.
When you started school your attention was grabbed by the teacher and more rules were fed to you and throughout life this happened over and over. The job that you chose and the way you are living was a direct result of what you had been programmed to believe. The decisions you made were in direct response to the set of rules and beliefs you were given. Continue reading »
